Sarah Ryan is an incoming freshman at Boston College who intends to study political science and journalism with a minor in public health. She hails from the small town of Holbrook, Massachusetts, where she began working in tobacco control during her freshman year of high school. Since then, she has been fortunate enough to be interviewed on the national news, meet with U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams, and advocate for change alongside her state senator, Sen. John F. Keenan. She received the The 84 Movement’s Statewide Youth Leadership Award in 2018 and was recently named the 2019 Barrie Fiske National Youth Advocate of the Year by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. She believes in the power of using your voice and wants to show other young people how they can help change our world.
